THERAPY IN TEXAS AND CALIFORNIA

When life is changing faster than you can keep up

I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, perfectionism, and major life transitions reconnect with themselves and build a life that feels manageable and meaningful.

ABOUT ASHLEY

Warm support with a clear, professional frame.

I’m Ashley Timbrell, LCSW, licensed in Texas and California. I have 8 years of experience providing psychotherapy and support services, and through telehealth I work with adults who are carrying anxiety, perfectionism, and the pressure of major life transitions.

My style is collaborative, thoughtful, trauma-informed, and grounded. Our work may include understanding patterns, building steadier coping tools, strengthening boundaries, and reconnecting with your own sense of agency.

Education

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University before completing my Master of Social Work with a clinical concentration at the University of Houston.

Approach

I draw from CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions depending on each client and situation, offering coping skills, assessments, tools, handouts, and thoughtful recommendations for continued growth between sessions

THERAPY FOCUS

For the seasons that feel uncertain, crowded, or heavy.

Anxiety

A steady space to understand what your mind and body are carrying, quiet the internal pressure, and respond with more self-trust.

Perfectionism

Support for loosening the grip of impossible standards, over-responsibility, people-pleasing, and the feeling that rest has to be earned.

Life Transitions

Support through moves, career shifts, family changes, relationship endings, new roles, and the in-between places that can feel disorienting.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Many people start therapy when they are tired of carrying things privately or when old ways of coping no longer fit. You can arrive unsure, overwhelmed, guarded, or simply curious. We can begin there.

I enjoy getting to know my clients and building rapport. It is a privilege to walk with clients through hardship, transition, and relational stress while offering practical resources that support self-growth outside the therapy hour.

THERAPEUTIC VALUES

A warm environment of acceptance and support.

“Every day, I see regular people push themselves out of their comfort zone. I see them reach out to each other. I see them connect and grow. And that’s because, I believe in some ways we’re all the same. We all feel the same grief, joy, hope, and we all have the same capacity to create change for ourselves and others.”
